Jacob M
Jacob joined Dr. Singharoy’s group in 2021 with a keen interest in theoretical and computational chemistry. Jacob received his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of Colorado prior and was involved in inorganic chemistry research synthesizing tri-metallic transition metal complexes with applications towards photodynamic therapy. Jacob now seeks to leverage molecular simulations to elucidate the underlying physical phenomenon facilitating biological processes. Jacob has focused much of his efforts on investigating molecular motors such as the Type IX Secretion System (T9SS), as well as working at the interface between biophysics and machine learning. Jacob currently serves as the President of the Graduate Student Council (GSC) at ASU and aspires to continue pursuing his interests in theory while striving to make an impact in his community around him.
